Angus Barn's WOW Factor

Many of us in the Triangle take the Angus Barn for granted.  Sure, the décor is unique and the food, wine list, and service are impeccable.  However, did you know that you can also get a complimentary shoe shine while you wait? ... or view a famous gun collection, hang out at the Wild Turkey lounge, or select a fine cigar from the walk-in humidor?  All these (and more) Angus Barn experiences recently wowed a group of Italian restaurateurs visiting Raleigh for the first time.  Their only request was a good steak but they were treated to Americana on steroids.  Owner, Van Eure, organized a tour including their award winning wine cellar.  The Italians could not get enough and left with great memories (and good cigars).  Thank you, Van, for continually improving a Raleigh landmark!   Maybe it is time for all of us to rediscover the Angus Barn.

Weddings, Anniversaries & Birthdays... & Reunions!
Tri-Delt 30th Reunion draws 60 Tri Delta sisters at UNC!

The General Alumni Association helped put a great weekend together with the help of two overly energetic Tri Delts, Val Tullai Williams and Carol Lynn Zaytoun Foster.  Husbands were wisely left behind (they would've been so bored!) while everyone enjoyed talking, talking and more talking.  House tours and brunch were held in the sorority house on Franklin Street.  Cocktails and dinner were served at La Residence and final good-byes were said at the Carolina Club where dinner was hosted along with a slide show playing 70's music of the old UNC 'shagging days'.  It was a great way to end the weekend
Tri Delta Reunion 11-08

Happy Birthday to Charlotte Maxwell Weaver turning 39 and holding!  Have a great one and we wish you many more.
From, your old Tri Delta sisters and friends.

Walk the Talk
At this time of year our winter exercise program slows to frequent walks to the fridge (cardio) and lifting catalogues (strength training).  Unfortunately, any reference to six pack does not include our abs.  If this workout isn't working, you have several alternatives.  You can join a gym, invest in new pairs of "mommy jeans", or you can start a winter walking club.  For a minimal investment (warm clothes and willpower) you can trim the beltline and catch up on all the buzz.  You can also put color back into our dreary landscape with your flashy workout garb.  TheBeltlineBuzz looks forward to sharing your exercise programs, fitness tips, and meal plans.  You can truly walk the walk and talk the talk.

No one can pay to be featured on TheBeltlineBuzz. That's what advertising is for, and it's always labeled as such. Selling ourselves (literally) would destroy the legitimacy, integrity, and fun of TheBeltlineBuzz. Plus, we'd never earn your trust that way. So we'll never make a dime off your meal at a restaurant nor a penny from the sale of the latest accessory we told you about.
That said, on occasion, we will send out "Dedicated" e-mails on behalf of sponsors. You'll recognize them from the subject line: "TheBeltlineBuzz Dedicated E-mail." Yes, these are paid for.  And, no, we would never sell our subscriber list to anyone. Not for any amount of money.
We hope that you continue to enjoy your BeltlineBuzz. We look forward to delivering it.
