Bird Brains Love Featherheads!
'Featherhead' headbands have everyone going cuckoo! Created and designed by the talented Shana Harden. Shana has a special knack for mixing the modern look with a splash of vintage for these beautiful head pieces. She finds old broaches from antique and estate sales to add to her feathers ... Yes, they are real bird feathers! And, they are chic and gorgeous. You can find Shana's featherheads at Wardrobbe in Cameron Village where she works, Fantasia in North Hills, and Revolver on Glenwood Avenue. And for all you coeds at UNC, don't fret... Featherheads will soon be available at Modern Times on Franklin Street. Shana keeps these stores well stocked! So all you birds of a feather, flock on over and pick out a 'featherhead'! They're reasonably priced as well. In photo above: Lindsay & Shana working at Wardrobbe modeling "featherheads".
Spring trends will Ruffle your Feathers!
You'll love it!...Manipulating fabric in sculptural ways is the season's most intriguing alternative to embroidery and ornamentation. While the shapes are classic, the layering, folding and draping results in compelling plays of shadow and light. Check out some of these ruffled looks of romance or the stark architecture or the loose laundered look at Beanie & Cecil in Cameron Village. New co-partner, Karen Lichten, has come on board with Alex Long and promises to brighten up your spring. After all... Life and Fashion... goes on!
